Does Tesco Sell Takis?
Not officially, no. Tesco hasn't picked Takis up as part of its regular range in 2026, though larger superstores occasionally carry it in a rotating American snacks bay. Those appearances come and go with no real pattern, so we wouldn't plan a special trip around one.

Takis would slot right into that lineup, so we'd read the 2026 gap as a rollout that hasn't reached Tesco yet rather than a deliberate no.
Does Sainsbury's Sell Takis?
Sainsbury's actually has one of the wider American food ranges of the big four: Cheetos, Oreos, Reese's, and Pop-Tarts are all on shelf. Takis isn't, at least not as a confirmed line in 2026.
Given Sainsbury's has ranged bold American snack brands before, this feels like timing rather than a considered decision to leave Takis out. We wouldn't be surprised to see it turn up before long.
Does Asda Sell Takis?
No, not as a confirmed listing. Larger Asda superstores sometimes carry Takis in an American treats or seasonal snacks bay, but these appearances are inconsistent and don't reflect a permanent decision to stock it. If you do spot a bag on an Asda shelf, treat it as a short-run import line rather than a sign it's now a regular stockist.
Asda has also spent the past year or so reworking parts of its store estate, rolling out standalone George clothing shops and converting some Asda Living branches over to that format. None of that directly explains the Takis gap, but a retailer mid-restructure tends to be more conservative about adding new snack lines, which may be part of the picture here too.
Does Lidl Sell Takis?
No. Lidl doesn't stock Takis, and a common point of confusion is mixing it up with Aldi, the other major German-owned discount chain, which does carry Takis periodically as a Special Buy. The two are entirely separate businesses with different buying teams and different ranging strategies.
That difference in strategy is probably the real story here. Aldi has built its Special Buy promotions around exactly this kind of rotating, on-trend branded snack, while Lidl leans harder into its own-label range and takes on far fewer third-party snack brands generally. That's likely a structural choice rather than a decision about Takis specifically: Lidl's middle aisles just don't run this kind of rotating branded snack promotion very often.
Why Don't the Big Four Stock Takis?
Our best guess is timing. When Barcel UK launched Takis here in 2021, it went first to retailers with shorter product-ranging cycles and an existing American snacks track record, and Iceland, Farmfoods, and Aldi fit that profile well. The traditional big four typically involve longer approval cycles, higher volume commitments, and stricter ranging criteria, which may explain the gap so far. Of the big four, only Morrisons has followed through.
All three absent chains have expanded their American snacks sections significantly in 2024–2025, so a Tesco or Sainsbury's listing in the next year or two wouldn't surprise us. The absence in 2026 most likely reflects Barcel UK's rollout cadence rather than a permanent gap.
How to Request Takis at Your Local Supermarket
Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda all have official channels for customer product requests, and enough requests from a single area really can shift local ranging decisions. It's worth five minutes if you want to see Takis on your local shelf.
- Tesco: Ask at the customer service desk, or use the product feedback option in the Tesco website help section. Name Fuego and Blue Heat specifically and note they're already stocked at Morrisons and Iceland.
- Sainsbury's: Use the online product suggestion form on the Sainsbury's website. Name the specific flavours and confirm they have confirmed UK distribution.
- Asda: Use the contact section on the Asda website. Requests from multiple customers in the same catchment are more likely to be escalated than a single message.
Lidl doesn't really have an equivalent channel: its ranging is centralised and much less responsive to individual customer requests, so a request form isn't likely to move the needle there the way it might at the other three.
Where to Buy Takis Right Now
While you wait on any of the above, five UK chains carry Takis officially: Morrisons, Co-op, Farmfoods, Aldi, and Iceland.
