What affiliate links are

An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a retailer you arrived via this site. If you then make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is identical to visiting the retailer directly; the commission comes out of the retailer's marketing budget, not your pocket.

Which links are affiliate links

Affiliate links on this site currently are:

• Amazon UK – every Amazon link on this site is part of the Amazon Associates programme. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
• Other retailers – buy links to American Fizz, So Sweet Shop, Candymail, King's Candy, and Iceland currently carry no affiliate tracking and earn us nothing. If that changes for any retailer, the page will mark it “Sponsored” to match.

Links to the store locator search results, OpenStreetMap, and any retailer listed purely as a local stockist (i.e. not via a buy button) are not affiliate links.

What affiliate links don't affect

Affiliate relationships have no influence over which stores show up in postcode search results – that data comes straight from OpenStreetMap – or which retailers are listed as confirmed UK stockists, which is based on independent verification. The same goes for flavour descriptions, advice articles, reviews, heat ratings, dietary information, and price comparisons – all of that is written independently of any commercial relationship.

Regulatory compliance

This site complies with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines on affiliate marketing disclosure, and with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules on endorsements and testimonials where applicable to US visitors.
