Takis Intense Nacho

All the crunch. Zero heat. Maximum flavour.

We do our best to get the details right, but we're not health or dietary professionals, and we're only human. If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, let us know and we'll fix it as quickly as we can.

What does it taste like?

Intense Nacho is where most heat-averse people start with Takis. It's the flavour you hand to someone who flinches at spice. The nacho cheese seasoning is rich and cheesy, coating the rolled corn chip in a thick, savoury layer. There's no heat at all, just the usual Takis crunch, same shape and texture, minus the fire.

Is Takis Intense Nacho vegan & gluten free?

If you're vegan, this one's off the list: Intense Nacho is the only flavour in the standard UK range built around real dairy, with cheese, whey, and milk solids named right there in the seasoning, not just a shared-line warning. Vegetarians have nothing to worry about. Good news on the colour front, though: it's plant-based (paprika extract and annatto bixin), so you won't run into the carmine question that follows Fuego around.

The chip itself is just corn. The UK bag's allergen box flags 'may contain Soya and Cereals containing Gluten', which is enough to keep coeliacs away no matter what's happening in the seasoning. There's no halal certification either, and the 'Flavourings' line on the ingredients list doesn't say much beyond its name. Recipes do shift over time, so it's always worth double-checking whatever bag you've got in hand rather than taking this page as gospel.

UK availability

Intense Nacho has long been an Iceland line in the UK, in-store and via iceland.co.uk, with the 180g bag the format currently stocked at around £3.00. It also now shows up on Morrisons' website as a 180g bag at £2.50 – that's an online listing rather than a confirmed in-store sighting, so it's worth checking your local branch before making a special trip. If neither is nearby, Amazon UK sometimes lists Intense Nacho through third-party sellers, though availability and pricing vary.

Takis Intense Nacho vs other flavours

Xtreme Lime shares its No Heat rating, but that's about where the similarity ends – Nacho is rich and cheesy, Xtreme Lime is sharp citrus with nothing savoury about it. Within the standard UK range, Nacho is also the only flavour built around dairy. Once you're ready for some actual warmth, Dragon Sweet Chilli is the easiest next step up.

Frequently asked questions

Is Takis Intense Nacho vegan?
No, sorry vegans, the cheese seasoning is dairy-based. Vegetarians have nothing to worry about though. See our complete UK vegan guide for which flavours are vegan-safe.
Where can I buy Takis Intense Nacho?
Iceland's your best bet, either in branch or via iceland.co.uk. It's also started popping up on Morrisons' website as a 180g bag, though it's worth checking your local store first since online listings don't always match what's on the shelf. Co-op, Aldi, and Farmfoods still don't stock it.
Is Takis Intense Nacho gluten free?
No. The current UK bag's allergen box carries a 'may contain Soya and Cereals containing Gluten' warning, which is enough to rule it out for coeliacs. No UK Takis flavour has a certified gluten-free label, Nacho included. See our Takis gluten-free guide for more.
How hot is Takis Intense Nacho?
It's rated No Heat, level 1 of 5, with no chilli kick to speak of. If you're buying for someone who can't handle spice at all, this is the safest bet in the UK range.
