Tomato ketchup and sriracha chilli, turned up loud.
We do our best to get the details right, but we're not health or dietary professionals, and we're only human. If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, let us know and we'll fix it as quickly as we can.
What does it taste like?
Takis Kaboom Ketchup & Sriracha pairs a tangy tomato ketchup base with the garlic-and-chilli heat of sriracha sauce, two familiar condiments squeezed into one seasoning rather than the usual straight chilli-and-lime profile. The ketchup sweetness lands first, rounding things out, before the sriracha heat builds in behind it.
The bag's own thermometer gauge reads 'HOT', and Iceland's product page lists it as level 4 on their chilli rating, a notch above the site's other Hot (3/5) flavours. Same tightly rolled corn tube and crunch as the rest of the range, just carrying a different pair of flavours than anything else currently on UK shelves. We first spotted it at Home Bargains in August 2026, ahead of Iceland listing it online.

Is Takis Kaboom Ketchup & Sriracha vegan & gluten free?
Vegans and vegetarians should be fine here: nothing animal-derived shows up in the ingredient list we've checked, and the colour is plant-based paprika extract, with none of the carmine found in some Fuego bags. The flavour enhancer is plain monosodium glutamate (MSG) rather than one of the fish-or-fermentation nucleotide enhancers that keep turning up elsewhere in the range, so there's no halal-style question mark hanging over this one on that front.
Gluten's still a no, though: the allergen advisory reads 'may contain Cereals containing gluten, Milk, Soya'. If you have coeliac disease, Coeliac UK can advise on products with this warning. It still isn't halal certified, though – no Takis product is.
Takis Kaboom Ketchup & Sriracha is brand new to the UK. We first spotted it at Home Bargains in August 2026, no price confirmed from that sighting, before Iceland also picked it up with a 180g bag around £3.00, usually under a buy 2 get 1 free offer when it's running.
Iceland's listing is currently showing as out of stock online, so check your local branch before assuming it's gone for good – new lines often sell through online before shelves catch up.
Home Bargains doesn't publish a searchable online catalogue, so checking in branch is the only way to confirm stock there. We haven't yet spotted it at Aldi, Co-op, Farmfoods, or Morrisons.
Officially a notch hotter than the site's other 'Hot' flavours – Dragon Sweet Chilli, Volcano, and Jalapeño all sit at Hot (3/5), while Kaboom's pack gauge reads level 4. In practice, the ketchup sweetness plays a similar cushioning role to Dragon Sweet Chilli's sugar, so it doesn't feel as much hotter as the number suggests until the sriracha catches up. Still well short of Fuego and Blue Heat at Extreme (5/5).

Tangy tomato ketchup first, then the garlic-and-chilli heat of sriracha building in behind it. It's a different pairing to anything else in the UK range, more of a condiment mash-up than a straight chilli chip.
Hot, and rated level 4 on Iceland's chilli scale – one notch above the site's other Hot (3/5) flavours like Dragon Sweet Chilli and Volcano, though still short of Fuego and Blue Heat's Extreme (5/5) rating.
We first spotted it at Home Bargains in August 2026, and Iceland has since started stocking it too, around £3.00 for a 180g bag. Iceland's online listing is currently out of stock, and Home Bargains doesn't publish a searchable catalogue, so checking your local branch of either is the most reliable option. It hasn't reached Aldi, Co-op, Farmfoods, or Morrisons yet. See our UK buying guide for other flavours and retailers.
Yes – nothing animal-derived shows up in the ingredient list, and the colouring is plant-based paprika extract rather than carmine. See our complete UK vegan guide for the full flavour breakdown.
No. The allergen advisory reads 'may contain Cereals containing gluten, Milk, Soya'. If you have coeliac disease, Coeliac UK can advise on products with this warning. No Takis flavour, UK or import, carries a certified gluten-free label. See our Takis gluten-free guide for more.
