What does it taste like?
Takis Teriyaki swaps the usual chilli-and-lime base for a sweet, savoury teriyaki sauce flavour, closer to a takeaway glaze than the citrus-forward core range. Sugar and spices lead, with a background warmth building in behind the sweetness rather than hitting first. We spotted it marked 'NEW' on the bag at a Heron Foods shop, our first sighting of it anywhere in the UK, with a heat gauge reading 'Medium' rather than the numbered scale used elsewhere in the range.

Is Takis Teriyaki vegan & gluten free?
Nothing animal-derived shows up on the European listing we've checked for this recipe, so vegans and vegetarians should both be happy here, in the same boat as Blue Heat and most of the range. The flavour enhancer disodium 5'-ribonucleotides (E635) carries the same fish-meat-or-fermentation question mark as the E631/E627 additives elsewhere in the range, and there's a 'may contain soya, milk, and gluten' warning too, enough to rule it out if you're coeliac, corn base or not. No halal certification here, same as the rest of the Takis lineup.

We haven't spotted Takis Teriyaki at any of the five main UK supermarkets yet. We found it ourselves at a Heron Foods shop, and we'd guess it's in more than just the one we visited. Amazon UK and American Fizz are worth a look too, though neither had it in stock when we checked.
